Do you still use a landline phone?

Yes, I do because I get better reception on it and when Iran hits us with missiles, the cell towers will go down and I won't be able to call my bookie.

For what? 

I don't have analog TV any more either.  

I don't have a transistor radio either.

I don't have a horse and buggy either.

I don't have outdoor plumbing.

Of course I do; I have land line service and use a corded stationary phone.  I will have it as long as possible.  The masses turned their backs on safety and security for mobility.  Of course corporate America loves it.   Lives run by advertising.  And maybe ignorance. Nope! Not anymore.

I do because land line phones can't be hacked like mobile phones and they are better in home invasions  - like if you whack a home invader with a mobile phone it's just going to make them mad but if you whack them with a land line phone similar to the one in the photo it will knock them out plus you get a chuckle when you hear the  clanging bell. Didn't want to give it up
for it was used with Fax machine
and I get work orders through the Fax.
But alas had to give it up
just couldn't afford it anymore.
So now my work orders are emailed 
with the attachment and I print them out.
    However I miss it

Along with the cell phone (geez -- are they still called that? I don't know) I have a landline, too. It's been more trustworthy and reliable in comparison, too.

Yes I do. It's the phone number that I give out when needed because usually once you give a company your number it falls into the hands of telemarketers. I prefer not to get spam calls on my mobile phone.  There are a lot of other reasons to keep a landline as others have pointed out. 

Yes - most of my calls are land-line, sharing my broadband service - though not on a faux-antique instrument like that in the heading!

I have a portable 'phone too but it spends more time switched off than on, it's not a stupidly-named "smart"-phone, and it carries all I need of it: voice calls and short texts.
