   "Gee, it's certainly a shame that the Personnel Director told you there are no openings right now. It's too bad I don't have any influence with that department, or I'd intervene on your behalf. Hmmmm, now that I think about it, perhaps I can help find a position or two for you somewhere else. Drop by my place later this evening, and we'll see what I can come up with. Here's the address . . . "

    I'd report his behaviour to the personnel officer, the manager of the department, the CEO and all my colleagues.
    A person who tries on that kind of shit in the workplace is not an asset.
    He should have his mind on his job.
