Ever get embarest while buying a product?

Before I had a cat I had to buy rat poison and I found it embarrassing because I figured the teller would assume I lived in a dirty house that attracted rats.  So I would tell the teller things like - I don't have a rat problem I'm just buying the rat poison for a new conversation piece for my coffee table. Cheers!

    No one needs to explain to anyone why they are buying rat poison.  

    Unless you are going to poison something besides rats.

    Actually, I was embarrassed about the same thing.  I wasn't buying poison.  I was buying rat traps at Lowes.  I buy many things from my neighborhood Lowes and they know me.
    It was embarrassing because I normally don't make a habit of wanting to kill things.  
    We just wanted to detour them and find different real estate.
    It worked.  We only killed one.  Maybe there was only one to begin with. It is now gone and I am still embarrassed when I walk by that section.  I try not to look. This post was edited by Merlin at July 2, 2019 3:15 PM MDT
