An albino wallaby in the wild.
    Few are born.
Most don't survive long - too easy for dingos to see.

Wow. My wife saw a white deer on her way to work one morning. Other than human, there are very few predators here other than coyotes.

I imagine a deer might be a bit too big as prey for a lone coyote unless the deer was injured or sick. Would that be right?
Dingos often work in packs. They're a type of Asiatic wolf. Quite common in our area because we're so close to the Border Ranges National Park.

Yeah, coyotes generally don't run in packs, although somebody filmed a group of them rummaging though garbage containers in my sister's neighborhood and got it on the local news.

    Interesting.
I wonder if, under favourable conditions, their behaviour could evolve to become more social.

Local zoo. They had two females. I had always thought they were an internet fake.

Geoducks  also known as gooeyducks - they are the Worlds largest burrowing clam.  We have  them on the Island and a lot of people like the taste of them but they make me gag just looking at them. I  included a link to more info about them and also a photo. Cheers!

A cat with no hair.  I forgot what she called it.  Ugly times 100.

  • One of these, but in captivity. In the wild, nothing quite so exciting, but it's still cool to come across any kind of wildlife when outdoors.

A wild creature that it took me longest to finally identify (I saw it as a kid of about 10) was Coypu. But I have seen some creatures doing very strange things too.

A blue-ringed octopus. Pound for pound the most venomous creature on Earth. When threatened, it displays electric blue rings on its skin before biting.
