Last Halloween - I try and watch it ever year once I went to a midnight showing of it at the theatre and threw toast to the bride. I think Meat Loaf was way cool in it. Cheers!
My mom took me to see the movie when I was really young on a halloween, Cos she loved the movie when she young. I think I was maybe 9ish first time I saw it. I was fascinated by all the people dressed up and throwing toast at screen and danicing in the theatre. I’ve seen it a billion times since. I love it. Cheers :)
Harry M. Miller produced the original Sydney production of the Rocky Horror Show, which opened live on stage on 19 April 1974 at the New Arts Cinema (formerly The Astor, later The Valhalla and now an office building) in Glebe. I went to see it and enjoyed it immensely.
When I saw the film version much later (can't remember the date), I was disappointed. It had been watered down into a sappy, safe, uncontroversial version of the original, had lost its value as social commentary.
Meh. I find the music a bit irritating - rarely like rock, unless it goes way back to Santana, Queen, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones - and even then I'd rather save it for dance parties.
