What is the sense of asking questions here in the late evening since nobody will see them? They will be on page 2 tomorrow.

Some of my best questions are on page 2 and got notice later.  I don't let that stop me.  Sometimes the less people who answer the better.  When you get a bunch of people telling you how great Trump is, that is not always pleasant.

I look all over the place for things to answer. All pages.

I look at all the new questions that I haven't yet seen - even the ones on page 2. :)

Great point, I agree.  I liked the feature on AnswerBag that allowed us to select Main Page  questions that did not yet have any answers.  It was a perfect way to find fodder.  Also, you could go to a person's profile and select questions he or she had posted based on the quantity of answers received, it really helped to catch up on ones that may have been missed.  AnswerMug requires you to scroll one-by-one through endless pages of scattered questions to pick out the gems.

Here on AnswerMug, it's similar to how Yahoo.answers was a decade ago (I haven't been on there since): questions sort of "expired" after a very few minutes of being posted because they were pushed out of sight out of mind when newer questions replaced them.  That website actually discouraged participation with older content.

Long ago I brought all of this up to the administration as a suggestion for improving activity.

The administration listened and is keeping a running tally of ideas to implement, but cannot currently make any changes.

Umm... So, every time I log in, I scroll through all the new questions. It takes about a minute. I don't know why you think others wouldn't see them.

It depends how often one logs on, especially when using the ‘Home Page’ to search.  Miss a day or two, and newer questions are buried deep beneath the tilde mess, the sandwich mess, the how much I hate Trump mess, etc.

I guess I was wrong. 13 responses here. I guess it is one of my trademark stupid questions

    I don't think it's a stupid question.

Stupid might be - -- I'm finding a favorite singer of mine seems to be a possible curse of GettingNoReplies -- I think three separate times I've posted questions/Statements (and even more posts in threads) specifically mentioning her, especially her song "Wise Up". And crickets begin.
But I'll probably continue to post that song -- one of the best I've heard.

    :)

What were you wrong about?  I think it’s a very good question.

Many times I am up late, PST while Don is working and AnswerMug is THE FIRST and ONLY place I go to pass the time and have a few giggles.
Late at night is sometimes the most fun!  Great friendships are made when things are slower and some of the coolest and funnest questions are asked.
Being I'm not one to ask great questions, I DO rely on y'all to do that but I enjoy being here late at night.
In fact, I look forward to it.  AnswerMug not only babysits me late at night, it entertains me, too!
