Consider yourself lucky that he didn't murder you - that is not an uncommon result. Or he might have murdered her or committed suicide, or all three. Couples can tear at each other for years over recriminations. Often the trigger for the end of a relationship - disastrous if children are involved. The younger the people, the more intense, dramatic and uncontrolled their reactions are likely to be. Jealousy is one of the most dangerous emotions.
Very few people don't suffer from at least some degree of jealousy (rage) if they have reason to believe someone is a threat to their relationship.
BTW, is your family really into incest? or did you make a mistake in the way you phrased the question?
