Gender-wise guys are a whole lot more in love with their cars than gals. I KNOW. There are exceptions. But mostly? It's the guys who obsess about their cars. Why?

.How many women do you know who have extensive automobile collections like Jay Leno? Do you know any?

Being a guy who could care less about his car, beyond basic maintenance, and the fact that it gets from A to B, and having a girlfriend who loves her Jeep, and wants a cool truck, I'm at a loss to explain why guys seem to like them so much. I guess they are pretty cool.

When a man's woman loses interest in him he will find a substitute, whether it be cars or other women. Trust me. I never had money to collect cars.

I love automobiles and despite the fact that I cannot afford to own a Jay Leno collection, at one time I did own two classic cars, a daily driver, a pickup and a 4x4.

The Henry Ford Museum has a collection of cars that would beat Jay's stuff. Are dead collectors acceptable?

Ever hear of  a woman who had an extensive collection of vintage cars Ele? Surely there be one wealthy woman who does? I just never heard of one. I worked for couple who owned 7 McDonald's Restaurants. I was the in-house accountant. The mister had a warehouse full of cars. It was pretty cool. I have no idea how much money was represented there but they were all purchased as investments. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

Hi Nj! So nice to see you! Hope all has been well with you and yours since we  last chatted! Where does she keep the cars? Do you guys have extra buildings/garages where they are kept safe? Is your mom a shoe gal? Are you? I don't like shoes. I'm always barefoot in the house and wear sandals when we go out. I find shoes too confining ! Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday. The cars might appreciate significantly in value over time . Smart mum! :) ((hugs)).

I'd love to see your collection .If you wore a different pair every day it would take you more than a year! That is impressive. Thank you for your confession Nj! I betcha there will be many gals who would also love to see your shoes. I'm being serious here m'dear....not smarta**y!  Can you take a photo of them and put it on Answermug? I don't know the mechanics of doing so but that would sure be swell if you c ould!  Thank you for your reply! :)

Cars are big, powerful, good looking and can take you places, many identify with or wish to have those things, even if it's only in a car. perhaps

"Gender-wise guys are a whole lot more in love with their cars than gals"

Does that mean guys who aren't gender-wise are a whole lot more in love with gals than their cars? I'll take that as a compliment, Rosie. Lol:)

Oh boy,. Can you pass that by me again m'dear? My head is spinning. If you mean  do I prefer guys who are more in love with their gals than their cars what do you think? Of course I do. But there are many very fine guys whose love affair with cars grows stronger as they age. Like guys/gals who are addicted to golf. Or people who are addicted to shopping or food or drugs or drink. Some of those addictions are very harmful. I think any addiction can be problematic because it means you are not in control. I think it's swell when a guy takes good care of his car. You know he does all the proper maintenance to prevent breakdowns and timely repairs when needed. But he should value the  people in his life more than the stuff. So should women. Thank you for your reply NP and Happy Saturday to thee! :)

I too think it's swell when a guy takes good care of his car, Rosie (especially the owner of that Mercedes round the corner that's always in absolute tip-top condition). However, I don't have a car myself to be obsessed with, and even if I did I couldn't be obsessed with it to the point of loving it more than I love women. It's not really the best way to place women on a pedestal, is it?

My previous comment was intended as a joke based on the phrase "gender-wise guys", treating "gender-wise" as an adjective which I interpreted as meaning aware of one's own gender and conforming to society's expectations of it. Then I mentioned guys who aren't gender-wise, meaning those of us who don't conform to society's silly gender-based expectations of us. I thought I'd turn that into a joke because it's better than turning it into a rant. Happy Saturday to you, Rosie!:)

    Hello Mr:

It's true..  Generations before me never knew how much fun it is to fix and drive cars, and neither will any succeeding generation..  I'm thrilled to have lived in this time.
