I would not stick around. I'd call one of my friends, plan the celebration with her---my treat. Go shopping. Buy myself a gift. Then go out for lunch. Then go to a movie. Then come in after the day was over. All happy and celebrated! :-))

Nobody ever remembered my birthday. I was in a church where they made a big deal of birthdays. They forgot mine.

Sorry about that. But the question is asking if a mate spent your birthday or anniversary playing on the internet instead of spending it you. Would that upset you?

Back when I had a mate she bought me a jewelry box. I said "What is this? I don't own jewelry!" I used it to save pennies, which she spent on cigarettes. The following year she got me a tie clip, cuff links, a tie, and a shirt with French cuffs to wear them on.

ETA: Faulty memory, I guess. That was a Christmas present, not a birthday.

When the memory goes, forget it!

The memory thing happens to all of us.

    What was your name again?
