    Hello my:

Nahh...  Right wing media, which is very main stream these days, won't let it die.  They never let ANYTHING die.  Will the comment hurt?  It should?  And, if Trump didn't out do her every time she says crap like this, it WOULD be.  But, he does, so it isn't.

And, it ain't got nothing to do with media.

Hill-Lovers will find a way to whitewash it, just like they do everything else she's ever said or done. Look at ol' Hill' herself; she's already put out the apology statement, recognizing that she was just as wrong as Trump is when he says something stupid. The difference is that she points out how she's not wrong for her own wrongdoing because what she does is always right, but that Trump is always wrong no matter what he does, even when he does the same thing that she does, so if she's always right, then she can't do wrong, except for when Trump has already done it, then she can't be blamed for it without pointing a finger at Teump, who is imperfect, a malady from which she does not suffer, because she's Hillary. Or something like that.

Very well could do her some real damage. Romney made his 47% comment ONE time, behind closed doors. Hillary has used the "Basket of Deplorables" in the open, not only to US audiences, but on an Israeli broadcast show. And we hear, but not confirmed, she began using the statement behind closed doors in August. It's sad that she felt it necessary to attack US citizens support of her opponent this way, but maybe she's just getting desperate!

She apologized for saying "half" but like all of her other apologizes it means nothing.

    Hello again, my:

84% of American households have cable..  FOX News says they're the MOST watched cable news channel in the WORLD.  I BELIEVE 'em.  I dunno why you don't.

So you want to call Fox the main stream media? That's fine as long as you are recognizing the rest of the stations are left wing. (Whatever you want to call them)

  • TBH, IMHO this is one of the first things she has said that may very well be true.

This is certainly NOT her Romney moment. Trump has Romney moments all the time and it doesn't hurt him.

By now, the majority of Americans have made up their minds and won't change them.  Many people are not voting for Trump and they feel the same way. Alt-right, white supremacists, the KKK, the neo-nazis, Islamaphobes, homophobes and all other forms of low-life ignorant people who think Trump will make them rich because he is a celebrity; all Support Trump.

    It's sickening and she's correct

    Hello again, my:

If mainstream means that mainstream Americans are watching, then by that measure FOX IS mainstream..  If you wanna measure by right wing standards, which is the NY Times, WA Post, MSNBC, etc, then they're not.

That's why I brought up the 84% number...  FOX kicks MSNBC's ass daily, along with all the others.  You don't get more MAINSTREAM than that.

There is a fundamental disanalogy between the two situations.

The essence of Romney's comment was that 47% of Americans pay no taxes. That is manifestly untrue. It is true many Americans are too f***ing underpaid to pay INCOME taxes, but they all pay (directly or indirectly) sales taxes, property taxes, excise taxes, FICA/SSI taxes, etc.

In contrast, there is substantial evidence showing a strong overlap between being a Trump supporter and displaying other deplorable attitudes such as racism, xenophobia, and authoritarianism. History suggests these deplorable attitudes tend to produce violence and oppression, which most rational people find deplorable.

Of course, understanding the disanalogy I described above requires actual critical analysis, not just the deplorable practice of partisan whinging....;-D...

Fair enough. What do you think should be the collective name be for the other news outlets?

  • Hey, she's just telling it like it is. Isn't that what Trump does all day and people praise him for it?

  • You tell me? :)

HC has her wacka-doos too. To bad Bernie Sanders had the primary stolen from him and he isn't in the race.

We wouldn't be having these discussions and the election would basically be over.  Trump would be in single digits or low teens at the polls

Romney was talking about income tax. And he was probably right. I know last was the first year I ever paid income tax in my life.

I would think by now, most all Americans, regardless of party affiliation, know there is a good chance a Clinton is lying when their lips start moving.

It's a new low for a presidential candidate to attack the supporters of his or her opponent.  Seriously!  I've heard classless remarks made here on Answermug about Trump's supporters.  I just considered the source, so to say.   Sad sign of the times indeed.

Oh yeah, it's TOTALLY being ignored. Nobody in the media is paying the slightest attention.

That's sarcasm, for those of you who are clueless.

Yep. When Trump says stuff like this, about Mexicans and Muslims, he gets nominated.
