Phone call?  No time for that, I'd be sneaking in to save my pets.  Never would I sit by and watch my house burn without saving my pets.

Probably to Loonie Laurie to ask him if he was responsible for burning  down my house (he once told me he was going to burn my house down). Cheers and happy weekend!

I’d call you to ask why you stated the first sentence that way.

“To see if to would see it, of course.”

I'd call my gal friend and say 'guess I gotta sleep at your place tonight...'

I'd call and order a pizza. The kitchen probably won't be usable for a while.

I started out with sho' but changed it to shaw.  :)  I heard both my whole life.  Now I say it in fun and hear it mostly like that. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at November 26, 2022 7:52 PM MST

In Canada we combine those 3 products to create a tasty toasty treat called Smores. Cheers!

My first thought was that I don't even want to think about that happening.

Ill think about who to call if it ever actually happens to me.

On a much lighter note for me after reading your question, maybe I'd call The Talking Heads and tell them it's happening to me. "Burning Down the House."

My first call would be to Tilde-Sure Underwriters Incorporated. They have my insurance policies for protection of my most cherished asset.
