Is it harder than we think to truly share music with other people?

By this I don't mean physically  - we all know it's easy peasy to post links... but don't you find that those posts tend to be the least *popular*? I wonder why.. .it's like people are always keen to share the music they love, but mostly people aren't interested? 

Am I wrong? 

I love hearing new music but I am not sure many others really love exploring new sounds?

    We all have our own interests. I could share a song here from the 60s and only a handful would remember It. Others could share newer stuff I have never heard and usually doesn't interest me There are three generations here...each with it's own likes and dislikes.

    Yeah, right...that solves LOTS of problems. I drink to give me an excuse to not drive anywhere.

    One of the reasons I quit for good is because I thought when I was drunk that I could do anything including drive.  

    I deliberately did not own a car the whole time.

    I not only share ,but make music with who I live with. It's not really to share with others though.... :)

    Everyone who has answered thus far have shared music with me that I've loved to hear.

    I love listening to music that others recommend.

    I spend a huge amount of my time on the site "sharing/talking about/asking questions about" music.

    It says things that I've never been able to express adequately....
