Lil Wayne Says Racism Doesn't Exist. Is He Right?

FWIW, I've liked Lil Wayne ever since I heard Lollipop. :-) (The lyrics may not be safe for work or children, but the song itself is VERY finely constructed.)

Lil Wayne says he didn’t think racism existed because white people attend his concerts, denies retirement rumors

Rapper Lil Wayne declared racism dead on Tuesday, citing his white concertgoers as an example.

When asked by “Undisputed” co-host Skip Bayless about a predominantly white Westchester audience for which he’d once performed, the New Orleans native said it signified to him “there was no such thing as racism.”

I think there's a grain of truth in what he's saying--i.e., that there's far less racial angst among Millennials in particular than the powers that be would have us believe--but yeah.  Lofty heights do tend to isolate one from the everyday reality in which the rest of us live.

    Hello again, N:

I see..  So, there IS blatant racism.. It's just perpetrated by the libs.  Got it..

But, what about this???   98% of black people support Clinton and are diehard lifelong Democrats..  To suggest that they're TOO STUPID to know that they've been SCREWED all these years, is all by itself, racist..  To suggest further, that all black people want is FREE STUFF, is ALSO quite racist.

How is it that you don't KNOW that??  It seems OBVIOUS on it's face.

I didn't say they were too stupid.  That came out of YOUR head, not mine. I I did, however, suggest that many within urban reservations were too dependent.  But here's the thing.  As more and more African Americans transition from lower to middle and upper economic classes, the more they'll break free on their own, and the more the obvious will be realized.

As for your silly bastardization of the term racist, perhaps you'd like to elaborate on exactly how what (you think) I suggested conforms in any way to the definition of racism.  Here. Lemme help you out:

    Racism

    n.

A belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

(Note for all interested bystanders: I generally believe that blacks are SUPERIOR to whites in most respects, so, technically, I suppose I could be considered a racist--except that most of those characteristic differences are cultural as opposed to genetic.)

Not likely (unless he is supporting Trump because of promised tax cuts for the rich). A more plausible explanation is Lil Wayne was high off of his gourd.

    Hello again, N:

Ahhh...  I see where THIS conversation is headed - to BONKERS land..  But, until we get there, I'll indulge you a bit..  You know, I spoke above about FACTS..  That means we have to agree what the words we use mean.  So, let's try this..

To ME, when you say,  "When African Americans realize just how badly they've been screwed",  you're saying that SOMEHOW, INEXPLICABLY this FACT got by all those black people for all these years..  Now, seriously, my friend, how could that POSSIBLY happen if they WEREN'T stupid???  Does the fact that you didn't utter that word change anything??

So, if we can't agree on what words MEAN, or you wanna play word games, then we have NOTHING to talk about..

Little Wayne was on the Apprentice with Donald Trump.

He wants to be white.  Obvious.  He wants to be cool and white and rich.
