I love it! Although, I am considered highly unusual here in Britland for liking it.. Country as an entire genre is traditionally thought of as very naff here!

  • "Naff"?

I think I used to have a sweater made out of that stuff.

Yes, naff - it means really un-cool, wouldn't be caught dead listening to it. To admit to liking country, would cause friends, family and strangers to run a mile away from you.

You'd better not be saying that about my Neil Young choice because? That one is country.

Once in a while I hear good country.  It is as rare as anything.  But when it is good?  It is totally amazing.

And Neil Young is SO GOOD, that his fans don't even realize sometimes with Neil,  they are listening to country.

This seems to defy a genre to me -- but whatever this is, I LIKE it!!!!!!!!!!!

    SO good!!!

    Oh yeah!
    :)

(Weird, he looks like he's playing -- but to me it doesn't look like she's singing "live" along with him -- doesn't matter though -- that was great!)

Whether she'd be called "modern country" (I doubt she would be), I am very comfortable saying that this song is THE best song I've yet to hear -- musically, lyrically, poetically, performance-based, the all-around music arrangement -- it's simply the best for me.

Yup, she's been at the top of my list for as long as I can remember. I'd like to have a dime for every time I've found a reason to post the song, ha!
    :)
