Why bother? Nobody has followed the constitution for decades. Besides, the country is collapsing, and nobody can predict what things will be like during or after the collapse. We have this prophecy we call Armageddon. The USA is prominently absent from the story. The country must collapse and become helpless before then. You are seeing prophecy being fulfilled as you watch.

In theory they should make better presidents.  First there's that whole acquired wisdom thing, and then there's the fact that, being that much closer to the end of their lives, they'll be more honest in hopes of being judged less harshly on the 'other side.' :-)

Note: in the case of atheists you can scratch condition 2.  Maybe that's why people generally wouldn't vote for atheists.  There's no moral 'restrictor plate.' :-)

  • I'm tired of codgers running for president. Old people are more likely to be stuck in the past and think that the policies of previous decades will continue to work in a newer age, ignoring the changes that have occurred.

  • Bring back the Presidential Fitness Test, but make it for nominees instead of school kids.

Since when did any kind of religious "restrictor plate" ever stop people from acting immorally? Our sense of morality comes from within. Any attempt to impose it artificially from the outside, when there is no moral center inherent to a person, is doomed to fail.
