Yes. We have done that a number of times. We have permission from a woman across the street who sometimes doesn't even use hers. We seldom fill ours up even half way, though.

Nice try. I know yours is always so full to overflowing empty Vegemite jars, mayonnaise jars, and avocado husks that there’s never any extra room for anything of mine.

The jars get recycled and the avocado husks and pits get composted. There's plenty of room for your tilde wrappers.

    Not without their permission.

Worse than that are dog owners who pick up the droppings in little bags and put them in other people's trash cans instead of carrying them home or to public receptacles. IMO, this is selfish and thoughtless, and I have no idea why they think it's OK.

  • No big deal.  Its just a dumpster/bin.   Some people get all blown up about it though,  for reasons.   NIMBY, get off my lawn,   it's my ball now reasons.

No.  You  can be charged or sued with trespassing and/or conversion/theft. This post was edited by Thriftymaid at November 16, 2019 10:08 PM MST

People kill over things like that these days, but then again, it's your a** and not mine.
