I hope we'll have a time where we'll be focusing on interplanetary agreements and forget about small earthly matters.

@Capnron, Noam Chompsky says these are the two most important issues in the whole world today. They determine if we will have a planet or not.

Excuse me, folks. I noticed some dead leaves on a tree out back. Could be 'Global Climate Change'.  Nah, it's the beginning of the Autumn season!

@bhwilson, you will think fall leaves when the tree crashes through your living room with earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, and floods. Yeah!

@Dumb and Dumber, yeah, like finding a new planet when we manage to destroy this one.

Earthquakes are not caused by carbon emmisions.

That looks more like a statement than a question.

Global warming climate change, as it is represented by the libs, is fiction.

While nuclear weapons still represent a threat to life on earth. we are in a much safer position than before the Great Presidents of the 20th Century, Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush, faced down the evil empire of the Soviet Union and forced it into dissolution.

  • It has struck me as odd this time round that US politicians seem to be prepared to go to the ends of the earth to avoid talking about policy and the nuts and bolts of political administration.  Casting my mind back, I'm struggling to remember previous debates that actually qualify for the term.

Debates it seems are no longer required for politics, or whatever it is that's calling itself politics in the US at the moment.  Just get yourself a slogan, a few soundbites and one or two other things (teeth, hair, tan, suit, money) and your'e ready to go.  Plastic politics in the plastics age.

Any 'debate', I'm sorry to say, will likely be nothing of the sort.
