Have any long lost relitives reconnect with you latley?

Today my wife's long lost brother called us up on the phone. We had over 30 years to catch up on and we also talked about him and his wife (who we don't know) paying us a visit in the spring or summer. I don't have many relatives so I'm pretty excited about it and I'm thinking about surprizing them with 30 years of belated Christmas gifts this year. Cheers!

    After NEVER MEETING MY NIECE, I contacted her via internet last year. She lives 2-3 thousand miles away. She stays in contact with my other nieces, but not me.

    I hope not.  I have nothing to say to people who are lost and happen to be related to me.   What would we have in common?  My relatives?  I am not close to any of them and there is no one I need to know because they are someone I am connected to by some gene pool I don't care about.

    Yes. About a year and a half ago, we found out we had a baby sister living in Kansas. She called me. Apparently mom had adopted her out. I was only nine or ten and was clueless of such things.
