    That is incorrect.

To quote Mark Twain, "Whiskey is for drinking. Water is for fighting over."

  •  Your answer is exactly the kind of answer I was waiting for. There is a German song "Wasser ist zum Waschen da", which contradicts every perception of the use of water to conserve health. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at December 3, 2019 2:42 PM MST

I did read the text insert of your question, but I did not let that stop me from posting the Twain quote.

Of course, I've been known to hit the bottle from time to time myself...

  • Thank you, Salty Pebble, your pet is the master of the bottle. So cute....BTW - "Spirits" are medicine to me, the side effects are not lethal, rather enjoyable. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at December 3, 2019 2:42 PM MST

  • Good for you, you deserve extra tickets in health heaven. My drinks also include coffee, tea, juice - and some other nice drinks, like cocoa or a "Hot Toddy". Who wants to freeze to death in the Florida deepest temps??

Are you inferring that they water down our beer then :(

  • I can answer that, too - - to a lousy 6% or little more, depending of the brewing country. My father-in-law made a wine from berries, so pure and stiff- you can say a spoon could stand upright in it. The taste was out of this world. Pure berries.

I'm loving this question!  Where was I at Monday at 4pm?
    Oh, that's right. Driving.  Damn.
On that note, thank goodness I didn't catch it then; but, I've caught it now. YeAAA!

I'm so excited, I forgot what I was going to say.

It will come back to me, I'm sure.
Until then, let us all raise our glasses to good whiskey and good health!
    As Nanoose would say,
    CHEERS!!!

  • Merlin, I appreciate your compliment - and we saying Cheers together. It is nice to be able in a forum like this to peek in, comment something, see what is new and come back at one's own time. In between life happens, and we have to do our thing jobwise or at home. Friends know how to find each other.....and their questions and answers!
