Do you have a favorite song from Pink Floyd's "The Wall" album?

I like the whole album but, by far, my favorite song is "Comfortably Numb"

I find it flawless

And the lyrics crawl right into me; and the song leads up so perfectly to me to the final words -- so beautiful and sad to me :)

When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye

I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown
The dream is gone
And I have become
comfortably numb

Perhaps my favorite song of all time. Beyond the words, the guitar solo at the end is sensational.

    Excellent taste we have. :)

    I love the song, too.

Hey, you might get a kick out of this like I did -- I think it's very well done. The Peanuts singing "Comfortably Numb"

I am especially fond of the "Delicate Sound of Thunder" version of the song...

(note: wearing sunglasses to hide that I've been smoking the funny stuff..)

Thanks, SaltyPebble- - been swamped with work, delay in responding to my question.

I hope to come back and listen to this - - right now, I'm very sleepy.

That one. I prefer Dark Side of the Moon as an album, but Comfortably Numb is my fave song on The Wall.

    Thanks, Slartibartfast!
I'm with you all the way -- overall, I prefer 'Dark Side of the Moon," too. Especially those last several songs!! Wow!
    :)

I don't  keep track of the song titles on that album - -I always just listen to it all in order and let it all take me away - - but those last couple of songs I really love.

Hope to come back and listen -- falling asleep, beside taking forever to respond to all of the answers here!
    Sorry
    :)

"Learning To Fly"  seems not to be on my The Wall album

The only Floyd song I really dig is 'Run Like Hell'. While driving down the 403 near Hamilton, Ontario, I used to keep an insane pace with the insane drivers who were all going crazy and crashing into everything. After hundreds of trips through there, I managed to avoid all the hazards. I often played 'Run Like Hell' on this highway.

Pink Floyd is such a great group. My favorite song from that album is "Mother"... There is no debate

    Mother

Mother do you think they'll drop the bomb

Mother do you think they'll like the song

Mother do you think they'll try to break my balls
Ooh ah, mother should I build a wall
Mother should I run for president
Mother should I trust the government
Mama will they put me in the firing line
Ooh ah, is it it just a waste of time
Hush now baby baby don't you cry
Mama's gonna make all of your nightmares come true
Mama's gonna put all of her fears into you
Mama's gonna keep you right here under her wing
She won't let you fly but she might let you sing
Mama will keep baby cozy and warm
    Ooh babe
    Ooh babe
Ooh babe of course mama's gonna help build the wall

Mother do think she's good enough
    For me
    Mother do think she's dangerous
    To me
Mother will she tear your little boy apart
Ooh ah, mother will she break my heart
Hush now baby, baby don't you cry
Mama's gonna check out all your girlfriends for you
Mama won't let anyone dirty get through
Mama's gonna wait up till you get in
Mama will always find out where you've been
Mamma's gonna keep baby healthy and clean

    Ooh baby
    Ooh baby
    Ooh baby
You'll always be a baby to me

Mother, did it need to be so high

Yeah, I like  that song, too.
    :)
I like how Mother returns at the end of the album, too. During that "Trial" song -- ( with much of Pink Floyd music, I don't know the titles of songs- - I just sit back and listen to them all. Toward the end of the album, I know Mother returns during a song about the 'narrator' 's trial.

Good to see you, thanks for answering!

I was thinking of you on my way to work and thinking how I have not talked to you in forever.

Hi.   I am hoping one of these days is on that album. The best song for energy ever to me.

    LOVE ONE OF THESE DAYS>.....
NOPE my song is on MEDDLE.

THE WALL is the best song on The Wall album.  All in all.....

There is no such song. You could be referring to Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2), the only part of the 3 part song that was released as a single.

Yes, I like all of the trio of 'Wall' songs in the album.
I especially enjoy the children's chorus when they sing "Hey --  TEACHER!"
    :)

Thanks for answering! I'm falling asleep -  was here for just a sec I believe. I've been swamped with work. Thanks for thinking of me on your work drive!
    :)

I like this song you posted - - not heard it before; I'm listening as I type.

    Good to see you!
