Thankfully, that has happened for me.
    :)

EDIT: A "Thank You" to Sharonna who spotted my mistake!

"Thankfully, that has not happened to me

Repetition and beating some idea into the ground.

    Trends can really get nauseating.

Too much of a good thing.

Good points! I may have to rethink my answer.

For me., as far as repetition and beating an idea into the ground -- Mariah Carey for me. Great voice but any time I hear something from her, she'll eventually start screeching out the high notes. so far, that's what's happened every time.
    :)

Trends --  taking a great song on its own and then someone adds a, to me, an annoying heavy rhythm bass to it all -- example: Hozier's "Take Me to Church" - - such a GREAT song to me in its original form. Now, the only version I hear on the radio is the, for lack of a better term, the DiscoHipHopDance "Church" song. Give me back the original.
    :)

Too much of a good thing -- a song that goes on forever .even if it's good. Granted, if I like it, I'll probably like it whatever the length. But, for what it's worth, I like how pretty much anything by The Mamas and The Papas just blows me away -- in what seems to be two-and-a-half minutes or less.

That head-banging crap that teen-age stoners are listening to. That ain't rock-and-roll.

If it’s what the teens are listening to but it’s not what you’re listening to, then how is it your favorite music?

  • It has not been ruined for me, but the extreme snobbery I sometimes encounter in classical fans can put me off of it.

I've known some people who are sometimes like that.

I matured and my tastes in music broadened quite a bit. Except for that Rap crap. Before I matured, Rap was first and foremost on my list. As I got older, it slowly began to fade into obscurity. I guess you can say that I ruined my tastes in music, but it worked out quite nicely.

  • Nothing has ruined my favorite music.  It just keeps getting better and better.  EDM , Glitter, and Guys.  That's all I need for a party.

Cold weather and the snow.  That is my answer for everything that is ruined.
