I heard someone say it's ridiculous to see someone over 50 going back to school instead of holding down a job. They say it's for young people.

One person even said when they're going to class and they see an (they call them old critters), they shake their heads and snicker.  Can you believe some people really think this?

I'm 65.  I am in school for Massage Therapy.  I am doing very well, thank you very much.

When I was 50, I was a sales person.   I made good money.   There is nothing worth selling these days that will make you some money, so therefore, I am back in school.

I know how to study and I know how to work so what is the problem?

That's because they never experienced what it's like to be over 50. You can't know what you don't know. But most people are polite enough to keep their mouths shut about it. While it's the rare person who actually listens and learns something about it.
