Is life ever normal? Or just a serious of bad events?

How else could a person achieve any state of perfection unless all the bad could be perceived and eliminated?

Well, there is a devil, and this is his season to take his best shot before God pulls the big red switch and resets the world.

You can not adequately explain human behavior without supposing the existence of a devil.
