No, I don’t recall ever having done that.

No.  We weren't allowed to play with sharp objects and I know we didn't have an interest in any sort of doctor thing.
My mom was an ICU nurse while we were growing up and we were sure there was a lot of "stuff" around surgery and doctors that was scary.  At least, we thought so at that age.  She never told us stories about her work.  She liked it very much.  But, we knew it was something we didn't want to do.

We did play vet with our dogs by using her stethoscope a couple of times.  We listened to their hearts. That was the extent of our doctoring and surgery at the time.

We were cruel to a few spiders. We pulled the legs off of 'Daddy Long Legs'.

Haha, I’m imagining a little spider body with all its eyes and no legs.

A pitiful sight.  The poor thing.
I've heard good ol' Daddy doesn't play well with others.  You left his fangs intact.  You had them beat by your size; however, you probably wouldn't be singing this tune if the size ratio were different.

I'm wondering.  You never know what is going to bite you in the butt.
    A haunting and nightmarish thought...

    Just Playin'!

We used to catch flies and throw them into spider webs. Fun to watch.

  • We sometimes would take the "lightning" part off of lightning bugs when we were kids.
In high school, we dissected a frog and a worm in biology.

We did that too. We made rings and earrings out of them.
