If you were to invent your own religion, what would be the number one tenet you’d enforce?

Tenet #1: ask the NEXT question.

It would be about a creator God  that would never allow sin, suffering or death. 'Course nobody would believe in such a God which would suit just fine.

Thou shalt not make your children attend church if you aren't going yourself.

Make love not war....and pratice regularly...:)

No drinking or narcotics use. 

I define religion as a social system whose participants avow belief in a supernatural agent or agents, whose approval is to be sought, predicated on the elevation of ritual, obedience and dogma. 

Since I consider faith to be neither a virtue nor an advantage, but the most dishonest of positions, I cannot in good conscience endorse any artifice that esteems faith and submission to doctrine above individual free-thought and examination of evidence. 

The most meaningful revelation I would assert is to view the world with a clear mind, question everything, and submit to no construct of belief alone.
