What was the last appliance you had to replace in your home?

I have to buy a new washing machine tonight because mine won’t drain or spin anymore. I’d rather shove toothpicks in my eyeballs than have to go to a laundry mat this weekend. I NEED TO WASH MY CLOTHES!

  • I went to a chain shop, but they’re going to take my old one away,  so I’m happy with that.

    Call an appliance store on the phone and buy it if they will deliver it by tomorrow.  I did that twice; once with a dryer and once with a refrigerator.  Both time they offered me scratched pieces that were perfect and 50% off.  The damage was on the side of both and not visible.  You can do a lot by phone if you just do it.  I stopped driving to stores for the most part long ago.  I bought all of my appliances when I renovated my house online at Goedekers , no sales tax and no shipping charges.

  • I always rather deal with people in person when I’m buying, I had three sales people running around trying to find me what I wanted that they Had in stock locally that could be delivered today. I also got a cash discount so it worked out okay. But I ended up buying a dishwasher too Cos I was looking around while I had them running around and liked the all stainless steal one. The stupid thing is I don’t even use the dishwasher I have lol. Yeah, maybe I should have just bought over the phone -_-

    My dishwasher has a stainless tub and I like it.  Like you, I make myself use it twice a month.  Sometimes I just go days with so little dishes I rather just wash them and know everything is clean and put away.
