I thought we were getting rid of those things although I fail to see how that would work.
Too long ago to recall. I have accumulated many pennies though, the oldest dated 1860.
I had a complete set from 1816 to 1857 and 1909 to 1995. Gave them to my children,
I got two in my change at Burger King this morning. I left them on the counter.
I saw one on the ground but didn't pick it up...!!!! and I have an old coin purse (old time expression!! lol) with about $2 in change, with some pennies.......when will I ever need to spend cash? I wonder..........the change has been in there for over a year now!!! how should I spend it? on what? any ideas!?!?!?
;-D
Yesterday at the store.
Me too. I cannot find my credit card again.
Make a piece of jewelry out of it or something. They even charge you now to count the coins. Or you can spend an afternoon putting them in those little sleeves.
Someone is going to see those and feel so darned lucky. Probably Marguerite. She gets excited about anything and gets a kick out of it.
Are they worth anything?
I had one when I was a kid from the 1800's and it still wasn't worth anything.
I use them as projectiles when someone cuts me off.
Yesterday.
Yesterday, I found one on the floor and added it to my savings.
Don't you people ever leave a tip ( cheap skates )
I have a bunch at home, but here in Canada they are gone now. No new pennies are being made. Cash transactions are rounded to the nearest nickel now. I barely noticed the change. (LOL)
I don't know, but something today cost me $2.01. Seriously? The guy didn't even bother collecting the .01.
To me they were priceless. It took me over 50 years to complete the sets. The coin dealer offered me sess that a payed for them. That is why I gave them away.
I use boogers.
whenever i pay cash
they're always around
1860 was the first year of the Victoria 'bun' pennies. Before that time they were the huge 'cartwheel' kind, too many of which in your pocket could drown you if your cart fell off the bridge (or through it) on the way home from market.
cant remember, its been a while
