They are emotionally bankrupt so they see no problem electing a head of state who mirrors their inadequacies. Vicious circle/vicious cyclel isn't it? All they care about is winning at any cost no matter how depraved. Which is why our society is so screwed up and always will be. The problem is in the people, not the institutions.
