First thing he does is head for the library the steps of which are strewn with thousands of books. He smiles. He is content. He is surrounded by his beloved books and there is no one around to interrupt him. As he settles down to read he drops his glasses and they are crushed. So while he has time enough to read he can't see. A moral in there somewhere. Maybe that you don't know how good you have it until you lose it? Be happy with what you have?
