He mavericked his way out of following the usual FBI protocol. 30 days before an election the FBI is supposed to refrain from releasing ANY INFORMATION that could change the outcome of an election. Both Republican and Democratic former FBI agents were unanimous in condemning him for breaking precedent. UNANIMOUS! Could you keep your job if you did such a thing?
