Did you know that The Beatles invented metal?

The sluggish, whispering drone of Billie Eyelash.

LOL, take cover: Billie’s fan numero uno is on here and will gut you for that crack.

Like he is going to understand Billie Eilish.  He doesn't even know who Led Zepplin was.

Pff. A so-called musician who knows nothing about the art form she pretends to espouse, and is actually proud of said ignorance. It's okay not to have heard of Van Halen, but its absolutely not okay to be okay with that.

What is it about Northern Ohioans and Billie Eyelash?

Northern Ohioans like to rock, period.  Billie Eyelash makes great music if you want to go to sleep.

I attended the Bejing opera once. It sounded like someone was torturing a cat.

Totally in agreement with you, I am not fond of the mature old world operatic voice.  Like rap it is meant for a particular audience.

The Beijing Opera is not the same as western opera. Listen to this:

So far, I've heard songs/music that I've liked within all the genres. I can't exclude as noise any entire single type or genre of music.

I've enjoyed music from all genres including rap, but the genre that holds the dubious distinction of being my least favorite would be American C&W. Most specifically the newer sounds being passed off as music.

Wait -- are we the extension of the same person? Ha!
Your answer could be mine, word for word. Yet another thing we have in common! :)
Don't know if you saw my answer before you posted yours -- ("I was here first," though, ha!) -- and we say the same thing, in part!

I admit there are three American C & W artists whom I absolutely adore - - Patsy Cline, Bobbie Gentry and Dwight Yoakam.

    Hah!

I can live without Dwight Yoakam. LOL

I enjoy Hank Williams, Johnny Cas, and some of the earlier CW music. the new stuff is for the most part, crap

I haven't kept up so much on the newer CW, but I believe you.

I posted another question a while ago about a Johnny Cash song that Nine Inch Nails 'covered' -- "Hurt." I first heard Nine Inch Nails' cover and LOVED it ! Still do. then I was told it was a Johnny Cash song -- and his original FLOORS me. That man is amazing.

Yeah, Dwight -- i don't know why his style appeals to me so because when many others sing that way, I don't particularly like it. But Dwight does something that connects with me. I like listening to him always.
When I saw him in concert, because of a ticket box office minor mistake with my purchase, and their way of wanting to make it up to me, they moved me from a balcony seat to front middle section, second row, middle seat - - right in front of the stage. That was fun. I enjoyed his show a lot. Very understated and not in-your-face.

Though I find him sort of not-always photogenic in pictures I've seen -- depending on angles/etc. -- I admit I find him attractive, too. And I realize the image I'm posting was taken "some time ago."

And I'm going to post a song I like on which he and Buckwheat Zydeco collaborated; fun music video, too -- " Hey, Good Lookin' "
