What is the main thing you get out of being on this site?

Aside from the scintillating company of course :)

A captive audience for me to annoy or amuse at my convenience....When I leave the convience ,it's totally a different matter ...:(

For a few laughs and to give funny or sarcastic answers. Also, I dig the attention. The private sex chats are a plus. (JK) This post was edited by Element 99 at March 2, 2020 11:17 PM MST

I like my friends here; enjoy the interactions with them.
Some of the questions provoke me to think about things I might not otherwise.
Some get me looking up answers so I learn new things.
These three provide me with considerable enjoyment.

I learn more about American culture than comes from the media and film -
which presents only one fairly shallow aspect of it, the extremes of superficiality, violence, materialism, sexism, ageism, classism and racism.

If one took America only for the image it presents of itself to the world...

  • All work and no play makes Bob Harris a dull boy.  I enjoy the added distraction and this place can at times have the right mix of serious and ridiculous.
