April 4th... when the cherry trees come into bloom.
* February - Flocks and flocks of birds (sand cranes, canadian geese) migrated back to Canada nearly every day ... Oh boy! A sure sign its going to be spring!!
* February 24th - first robbin sighted (birds are smart... they know spring's close at hand)
* Early March - The lawn was growing taller than the dog, therefore I was forced to mow it - two times, no less ... but then it snowed (never trust a bird)
* Mid-March - The daffodils and crocuses bloomed in great abundance.... and it snowed some more (NOW it flattens the grass)
* March 19th - The calendar says it's officially spring... uh-huh... 28 degrees and (you guessed it) more snow! (hope you birds are nice and warm up there in Canada)
* Late March - The plum trees came into bloom ... well... at lest we think they did... hard to see white flowers in the snow (robbins holding signs at bird feeder - 'will chirp for food')
* April 1 - The leaves come out on many trees... only to be snapped off by more snow. (guess trees are about as smart as birds)
* April 4 - The cherry trees came into bloom! And behold... the snow turned to rain. (NOW it's now officially spring).
* April 6 forecast calls for possible snow ... Nooooooo!
Uh-huh... You call those modern guys Canada geese to their faces and they'll nip you where the sun don't shine. These days they prefer the title 'Canadian Geese'. (ornery buggers!) When you're walking through a flock of birds that stand over 4 feet tall and have an attitude, you call them whatever they want. (FYI - never call them honkees!)
No, I didn't. The first line was the answer to the question. The following lines were a "blow by blow".
