Do you think you’re going to come out of this lockdown in better, worse or about the same physical shape?
I’ve been exercising about 3 times a day now at home as opposed to an hour four times a week at the gym. I’m gonna be in best shape of my life just cos of boredom, YAY boredom, I guess.
Probably no different. Living a fairly isolated life on the land -- reading and writing indoors, or training a young horse of doing weed control and gardening outdoors -- my life continues much the same, exercise as well. I get plenty of walking up and down steep hills. The only difference is uni is now online, no live tutorials on campus.
I started out being very motivated to keep up my routine. I drove to a nearby park that has several steep hills and went for brisk walks in the cold air. I worked out to strength training videos. But then the weather got nicer and the park is full of kids careening down the hills on their bikes and then blocking the path as they laboriously push the bikes back uphill. The strength training videos are boring after a few times and one of the reasons I pay a personal trainer is to keep me motivated and to keep things interesting. The less active am, the less active I want to be and I have to break the cycle.
Beaches aren't an issue yet here in Minnesota, but they have already announced that they will not open this summer. Some parks are closed, but the smaller neighborhood parks remain open. As soon as any park or walking path gets too crowded, it gets closed off.
I am allowed to go to me work just cannot be open. So we have been going in the back and painting. Getting ready for when people can be out. We will stocked and ready to sell, sell, sell.
But we are doing what would normally do 5 small loads as 1 huge load in 1-2 days. So still staying home most days.

I don't miss the gal who sits next to me who crunches ice cubes or the other one who heats up her lunch and eats at her desk and we all have to sit in that smell or the one who talks so loud that when I'm listening to my voice mail, her voice sets it off and it says it doesn't understand my command. No, I don't miss them.
