I'm not sure but would think something air tight and in a cool location or refrigerated. This post was edited by Merlin at April 19, 2020 5:41 PM MDT

Then probably unprocessed cheese would be just plain milk?  But if you want to take it a step further, you could go all the back to the basic mooo cow.  Have I ever eaten Betsy, our dairy, mooo cow?  I would have to say, no.  I have not to the best of my knowledge.

I saw Merlin's reply, but it really was my first thought!

I'm surprised that this wasn't my first thought:

Their cheese is the BEST! :)

A plain white wrapper.  Some people get their kicks on seeing cheese without its processing.  (preserverts)

No, I spelled it correctly.  I was being humorous.  Think about for a minute.

    Preserverts? Very obscure.

It was a take off on "perverts".  (Plain white wrapper as opposed to a plain brown wrapper).
It's no biggie.  Not everyone gets my humor.

I prefer waxed paper or waxed cloth to keep the cheese airtight.

For a few days after opening, a waxed wrap prevents the cheese from drying out and reduces the chances of any unwanted types of mould.

Aluminium foil is okay as far as keeping the cheese in good condition, but it's not great for the environment.
The same goes for cling-wrap and plastic bags.

I think that a more important issue is what kind of packaging should be processed for used cheese. I’ll take my answer off the air.
