Isn't there two songs titled "Joy to the world?"

I like that Three Dog Night song.

And the carol is nice, too. :)   The children's voices are nice, too.

Sure enough! I wish I could find a better quality video of the Soul Asylum one- including the only one I could find for those who want to hear it. I'd forgotten how much I love them.

Thanks, Just Asking! I was wondering what it sounded like. I have to get moving with some other stuff for the day but hope to come back. I'm already more behind than I wished. :)

I thought I had a Soul Asylum CD, but I can't find it at the moment.

This video says "Little Walter" -- is he the same as John Lee Hooker? In any case, I like this song! Haven't heard it before. (I must be in a Music Mood lately - - I've been hearing all sorts of new-to-me songs lately on the site here and I'm liking all of them!)

    :)

I  Want Candy. When Aaron Carter sings it the candy he wants is from a girl but when Bow Wow Wow sings it the candy she wants is from boy. The lyrics are the same in both songs but boys and girls are radically differnt. Chers!

The Ellie Goulding one is just "Burn", isn't it? No crow.

They're both "Burn." "The Crow" sometimes gets added to the one from The Cure because it's from the movie but it's not part of the official title.

I don't know about you, but I would have loved to have seen the Pointer Sisters do a cover of the second version. ;)

Haha no. I’m telling Welby you said this, we’ve never seen him cross,  but reading your reply might send him over the edge lol. He loves them even more than I do :)

    ha!!

Yup - - I do SO LOVVVE The Pointer Sisters. Along with Johnny Nash, they exploded into my young life and have bettered me ever since. They and Nash --  I remember first hearing both of them and immediately became a fan. I remember tem so strongly because I "discovered and noticed" them completely with my "own" music taste -- no one else's, as in, my parents or siblings or friends. :)

Whatever song The Pointer Sisters would touch - it'd be better, so, I give my permission for them to do a cover of Arthur Brown -- actually, as I listen to Brown - - I can hear the Pointer Sisters doing this, ha!!
    :)

I like the fact that The Pointer Sisters received a Grammy for "Best Country Song by a Group or Duo" --  for "Fairytale," which they wrote and sang. Such a great song - - and we all know Country is not their usual genre at all. :)
