What is something that people should never stare at?

I have to admit I preferred the book - John Wyndham's The Midwich Cuckoos. Not that it was a bad movie (it wasn't), but I usually prefer books to movie adaptations. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at July 18, 2021 9:52 PM MDT

I'm with you 110%!!!!!! 

I, too, MUCH preferred Wyndham's novel! My favorite title of any book I've read, too!  I went to the library about a week after seeing the movie and read the book. And after reading that book, I went on to read all of his books.
GREAT stuff for me!
Wyndham has a way of just encompassing me. His style, plots, people, writing style - - I'm hooked every time.

 I really like that original "Village of the Damned" movie, too. And I really enjoyed reading the book after seeing the movie.
