Yes, actually. There have been numerous studies that show men can tell when a woman is ovulating. I even saw one that said that strippers make bigger tips during ovulation.

There are some cues the body gives off to signify ovulation. Our cheeks get redder, our voices change, our scent changes, etc. Most of these things are cues a person wouldn't overtly notice, but studies have shown that men likely pick up on them because they rate ovulating women to be more attractive.

Women also behave differently. Apparently, we groom ourselves more (pay more attention to clothes and hair) during ovulation and we're more outgoing. We're also more likely to lust after alpha males during ovulation, whereas we tend to seek out the betas the rest of the month.

You bet ya!  A man gets the scent of ovulation right away and unconsciously walks around with a woody all day.

Wait until she gets to menopause.  She'll look like Edward Scissorhands.

Oh, we've learned how to pick up on the clues  . . .

Sense a woman ovulating?  If they had that much sense, they'd be able to understand a woman's feelings.

Grilledcheesegirl, don't mind sharon. I could sense she was ovulating so her confusion was likely due to the heavy blood loss which appears to have caused the poor ol' gal a great deal of confusion.

You see? A perfect example and it proves my scientific survey. ;)

JA, I'm not sure I'm buying that. They don't even have enough sense to put the toilet seat down. :)

Don't look at me. I just repeated what the researchers reported.

It's all subconscious stuff. Most research indicates that we find markers of fertility and health attractive. That's why men tend to go for the hourglass shape, etc. A man wouldn't be aware that a woman has rosier cheeks, but some part of him would feel more attracted to her when she's giving off the subtle cues.
