There is nothing in the world that tastes like their chili to me, with onions, beans and spaghetti. And, obviously, a massive amount of cheese. (Seriously, I like to go to Skyline Chili because no other restaurant has food like theirs.)
I'm with you 100% with this!! I think it's the best in the world. You have to dine in, however. The portions are much smaller if you're getting drive-thru. I want to get a t-shirt next time I go. :)
:) :) Ha! First you share with me about Bobbie Gentry singing my now-favorite version of "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" - -and now you give me an answer I've always wondered about - - their drive-thru! I've never gone through their drive-thru because, even with that portion size difference that I wouldn't like, I sometimes have enough challenges eating a Five Way neatly when sitting in a booth in the restaurant, let alone having to drive somewhere with the food, and then having to get it somewhere to eat, and then eating it. I can't imagine eating it in a car. Ha! And I assume they offer you bibs where you eat - they do at the restaurant where I go. I always accept. I'm never concerned about any bit of a mess I might make - - the food is worth it.
And I'll take your word -- I'll continue to go inside the restaurant. (And I like the atmosphere in the restaurant, too.)
:) Is this to my answer by chance? If it is, the camera is REALLY close to the food -- it does look huge, ha! Yeah, it is a good portion but not too overly huge. I don't eat there really often. And it's always a great treat for me when I do. I recommend your trying Skyline Chili if you haven't tried it. :)
Yeah, I get that, too. Sometimes too much of a good thing is still simply too much. I like leftovers, too.
You could always order this and take the leftovers home! :)
I'm having leftovers tonight. Bot Skyline Chili. But now I realized I have to go back to work. Oh, well.
[I hate the weather here today, "In-Your-Face-Sunny Day" - give me those beautiful cloudy cool days -- have always preferred and loved that kind of weather since a young boy. And I know I'm in the minority about weather preferences, too, (ha!), even just by listening to people talk about weather and observing most of the rest of the people in the world around me. Ha! And the fact that many times I was the sole young child playing outside in the rain my neighborhood. Didn't care -- always thought it was so much more comfortable on those kinds of days as opposed to stepping outside the door and immediately being blasted by never-ending heat. And then ready to pass out for the rest of outdoor play for the day. That grimy, wettish uncomfortable feeling. Even though playing in the rain -- I guess I'd be wet then, too. Ha. Much more comfortable, though, to me.
It just hit me - - now I remember your posting just the other day: "I hate the sun." Excellent. :)
Geez -- I rambled longer about the weather than the food. :)
Back to work

Two cheese coneys with everything and an order of chili cheese fries at Skyline Chili. Cincinnati style chili is amazing, and although other local competitors such as Goldstar Chili and Blue Ash Chili are great.....It isn't Skyline. It's pricey, but I don't mind.
At home, home-made vegetarian, highly varied, tasty, cheap, healthy, don't have to travel a long distance to get to a restaurant or café, the company is good, and the environment is always the most comfortable.
