It’s been that way throughout California for about a month now.

    Sensible.
I've heard that CA has been much tougher on restrictions than other states, and that it's really helped to reduce the number of cases.
How are you handling the restrictions?
Does it make life much more inconvenient?

I’m not glued to any of the news sources, so I don’t know which stats are being offered up to the masses nor which sets of stats are accurate. As such, I don’t know for sure if California is faring better or worse than other places, and if it’s stricter than others.

I comply with the mask orders and social distancing orders. I’m not staying at home a whole heck of a lot, though.

Not required by the gov. But some businesses do require them.
My daughter worked the store me today. She had a busy spell. She put on her mask. She said that was the first time she had been around more than 10 people at one time in months.

It's been mandatory in this state for a while now, but not everyone complies.  They've been getting better at complying in stores and around town, but out at the rivers and lakes, most people still aren't masked.

    Same.

Are people complying? Nope. Maybe 50, 60%

It's recommended where I live, but not required, so there aren't a lot of people wearing masks, probably about 10 to 20% of people wear them, so my husband and I are pretty much in the minority when it comes to wearing them.  My hubby said he'd rather be judged for wearing one instead of not wearing one.   Anyway, putting on a mask just isn't that hard, so I don't get why some people are making such a big issue out of it.       (Comma after the word “live”.)

(there's a very low amount number of people wearing masks)

      (Comma after the word “them”.)

      (Comma after the word “hard”.)

I've edited it, and I've added so many commas you're going to get sick of seeing commas, but that doesn't mean you should stomp on them and squish them to death when you see them scurrying around in front of you.  That would just be mean!

    Yay!  More commas!

Ooh. Look at you. It's always nice to see a friendly face! ;)

I'm in Maricopa County and the whole county requires facemasks now. I think they've been mandatory for 2-3 weeks. Maybe more.

Wearing them is one thing, but the question clearly asks whether or not it’s a must.  Jes’ sayin’.

I'm only angry because I have to pay for public transportation now. Before it was free for a few weeks.

Yes, we’ve been required for a while now. I like it, save money on lipstick. This post was edited by Jaimie at July 14, 2020 1:11 PM MDT
