No, seriously, I don’t recognize that term, “Senior Ditch Day”, so maybe it didn’t exist way back in the good old days when I was a high school senior.

I’m not sure what year it would have started but it’s been a thing for a long time. It’s a day off unofficially scheduled (by students) towards the end of the school year, but before exams. It’s just a day the entire senior class skips school and does something fun as a group. It usually includes a large amount of underage drinking, drugs and a large body of water. Ours was at a beach a few towns away, started on a Friday night but the official “skip day” was the following Monday. You probably had one and didn’t go...studying important grammar stuff ;)
Thank you, I know what it is and what it means, it might have existed when I was in school, but I never would have participated in anything like that. And you’re right, there was probably some important grammar-related event taking place on the last day of school, I wouldn’t have missed it for a million dollars.
