I will and I better get a  lollipop because when it comes to shots I am the biggest baby on the Island.  Cheers and happy weekend!

  • Yes, I plan on getting it, but I won't be a guinea pig. This vaccine will be rushed out to the public, so I'll wait on some studies first.

When I'm convinced that it's safe - maybe.  I'm srill dubious about flu vaccines.  Have never gotten one of those.

I hate needles, shots, and all the like, but you bet I will, so we can get this thing over with and go back to what we used to call normal.

We’ll see. I hesitate to say definitively yes or no, because each has both its merits and its detracting factors, and not enough accurate information is yet available to sway the decision. Heck, they might develop a Vegemite-based vaccine, or a grammar-depletion pill, or tilde-neutralizing therapy, or anti-harem protocols, or some sort of Canadian spouse clause, or . . .

I've never had any immunizations except for tetnis. My theory is that since I am of European breeding, I have some excellent viral resistance in my genes. Our family tree survived all those plagues such as 'The Black Death'.

    (tetnis tetanus)

    (Comma after “plagues”.)

Well, when you put it that way: we all had ancestors who escaped the black plague in one way or another, or we would not be here. (more than once)

If it's tested and approved, then why not?

Interesting take. I’m In the century or so of testing and approval, has any product that passed muster ever failed later?  Also, keep in mind that back in the 1950s in tv, radio, and print advertising, even medical professionals endorsed cigarettes as being beneficial to our health, prior to the “discovery”* of their harmfulness to our health.

*I believe that Big Tobacco was behind those so-called endorsements.

Almost all the illegal drugs we have started out as a cure for something.  In the case of cocaine and heroine they were cure ALLS.

I do not plan to get it at all.

But if it becomes a requirement I will not be first in line. I do not plan on being the guinea pig. This post was edited by my2cents at August 2, 2020 6:46 PM MDT

If clinical trials prove to be safe and effective, then absolutely.
