Automatically unsubscribed from topics and questions?

I notice it seems quite often for whatever reason, I get unsubscribed from topics so that I can be sure and get notifications for them with the bell, especially even my own questions. Just curious if this is normal or a glitch? Not sure if the site has always been like that? I do press to subscribe again, but might have to start giving up. I don't understand it. I never unsubscribed from any.

Maybe it has something to  do with a member leaving AM and deleting all their posts and groups.  Cheers!

Maybe, I've only been posting on the site a few days or so, and haven't noticed any posters doing that.

If I understand your question correctly, I often, especially with questions I, myself, have posted, do not receive "alerts" that someone has answered.
Others here have tried to help me, and I often keep re-checking that "Send me notifications" box, but not knowing about new posts can still happen for me.
I now, periodically and purposely, check questions I have asked, even if I have received no notifications of new posts.
And often, there are new replies.
    :)

But, I'm also terribly un-tech savvy, so how knows? Ha!

Yup. Same here, I don't know why they get unchecked is my thing. But I am sure that's why we don't get the notifications. And it must be a pain to keep going back to your old questions all the time.

To me, I take it as the bell up at the top of the page. I get numbers by that bell when I get notifications.

Yes that bell. And I haven't noticed any sound from it, but I am not turning my speakers any louder than they are. If something else comes on I might jump from it being overly loud.

Ha! Me, too!!! I have a HUGE "startle reaction"!! Sudden loud noises - - depending on the circumstances, I sometimes can even yell, jump, and fall down! Ha!

The sound that comes from your computer or phone that sounds like a door bell when someone replies to your post.

I never get an audible sound. You must be sepcial!  That is, "special," but I like my typo, so it's staying.

You have to turn your sound up really loud to hear it, it’s very faint. And I like your typo too lol :)

You guys should all just put your ear up to your computers until someone likes one of your posts,  so you can hear the doorbell.
