    I heard this song on Radio this morning and immediately thought of this movie scene... so I had to add it here. I might like this one even more than the babysitting one.

    Aimee Mann's "Wise Up"     from the movie "Magnolia"    



    I have to share my reasons because this is in no way just a great song stuck into a movie.

    At this point in the movie, the numerous characters are all at a difficult moment in their individual lives (the movie has a lot of characters and their unrelated, and related stories, overlap at times). Aimee Mann wrote some songs for the movie, but this  song begins - - - and then - --


    all the characters in the movie start singing the song with her!!!


    The first time I watched the movie, this scene took my breath away when I realized what was happening. I still get chills every time.

    I've never seen anything like it. Ever.

    "Magnolia," I could argue, would benefit every person who would watch it.  One of my very favorite movies. 

    EDIT: the video starts with the end of a scene right before the song starts at about the 1:00 mark
