    When I spent years in military service it would be an ego thing more than anything else,  I think. 

    I lived in the skid's row for about 20 years and it would more likely be 'all the above'. All the rejects end up in the skids eventually. I was a bit of an egotistical drunk.

    i. All but one of the above - compulsive liars are rarely afraid of rejection, they're inured to it. I'm not talking about the President, either - I know one personally. My ex-daughter-in-law. She's what Trump would be sans his daddy's money.
