My whole corporate career I worked regular 8 - 4:30 days except for during my first job I worked 7 - 7 days during a strike.  I had only been working a few months when this happened.  The strike lasted three or four weeks and then back to regular hours.  It was less than a year after I started working that I became ineligible to join the union but, luckily, the two other strikes that happened during my career I happened to be on maternity leave both times.   So, I only had to work one strike in a whole career.  Pretty lucky.

I would prefer 2pm to 10 pm. Have lunch, relax a bit then go to work ahead of rush hour then get off work before midnight rush hour traffic begins.

If I was married with kids I would prefer dayshift, 6 am till 2:30.pm.

    l. Day shift.  (7am-3pm) I currently work 8-8:30am to 5 or 6pm at my business. 7am-3pm does not work for a retail location.   We post 9-5 as hours but as I tell customers "If I am here, I am open."

    I - the day shift.

I'm an early riser (4.30ish) and have my best physical and mental energy from 6 am to around 5 pm.

II - Afternoons. Currently I'm on day shift. Since returning to the office, the building management is only hiring one security guard who knocks off at six pm, so I'm working 9am - 5.30pm and hating it.
