  • I almost used this song but wanted to save it for you. Stop crying.

Thank you save it for me, most definitely not crying this morning :)

Wow, only 65 years old. It appears that throat cancer was the primary cause of death.

    :(

I like many, but this is my favorite. I love the message and the video is perfection to me.

I like these two very much, too.

It seems that for the most part, muggers prefer Roth to Hagar. I'm not in agreement. :)

  • Lol, you're right.  And Gary Cherone has gotten no love at all so I'm posting this one.  This song makes me nostalgic because it's from Twister.  RIP to Bill Paxton and Phillip Seymour Hoffman as well  :(

Yeah, I remember this from Twister.

Isn't that Sammy in the video, though? I honestly don't remember anything they did post-Sammy!

Both were way too young. Celebrity doesn't pardon anyone from tragedy. RIP

  • You're right...I was totally off. This was the last song they recorded with Hagar. Brain lapse  :)

I don't pay close enough attention to Van Halen and their individual songs. Nothing is specifically "up there" as far as a favorite but I enjoy listening to them.

Along with being shocked to hear, only an hour ago or so, of his death,  my most memorable Van Halen moments occur in their "Jump" music video. Though I like the song well enough, it's Eddie smiling to the camera repeatedly through the "Jump" music video that sticks with me the strongest any time I think of the group. When I  think of the group, I picture Eddie in this video. I've always liked his smile in this video -- he looks friendly and looks to be having fun.

    :)

He was so adorable in this video! (And in general as a younger man).

    Yes!

Yes, I find him very attractive, too. At any age.

Also today, Johnny Nash died, probably best known for his 1972 hit song “I Can See Clearly Now”.
Born in 1940, he was 80 years old.

Oh no, Welby was just telling me about him other day in a post. I knew his song but never knew his name before a few days ago.

Bummer. 80 seems a pretty good number, but not really.

    It'll be here before we know it. :{
