    I understand perfectly the reason for your asking the question, and will defend to my last bullet your right to ask it, and of course, quick is all fine and good, but wouldn't you rather attain your objective via the scenic route?

      Er, um, I’m not asking what is the quickest way for me to get to your heart. The question is posed in a general sense, not as if I am asking for my own purposes of getting there.  Nope, you may not have completely understood the gist.

    But I ever specified nor implied that I would necessarily be the one trying to get to someone’s heart. The question is more open-ended than that. The use of the graphic showing eating utensils is suggestive in nature, but potential answers aren’t restricted only to being food-related.

    Go down until you come to the big red barn, then make a left.  Keep going until you come to old man Creswell's big apple tree, then make a right.  Now make sure you turn at the apple tree, not the pear tree.  Some folks turn at the pear tree, but that just goes to Billy Bob's house, and he's usually cranky and drunk.  You sure don't want to go messing with Billy Bob when he's drunk.  No sir.  Now if If you get to  the bridge over Miller's creek, then you've gone too far.  Best you turn around and go back to the Frederick's place and head south.  Anyhow, you head on down the road 'till you come to Miss Daisy's place.. prettiest place you ever did see.   All full of flowers, and buzzing bees.  Got to be careful of them bees, though,  'cause they can sting you.  Well, then you make a sharp right and in a hop, skip and a jump you'll be at my heart.
