    Hairballs.   I heard the hairball.  I know it's out there, just waiting to be stepped in..... but where?  The bathroom?  The kitchen?  Between me and my slippers?  In my slippers?   I can't sleep until I know where it is... but dare I go look and risk stepping in it with bare feet?

    Worrying about stuff. I found it was too boring sometimes not having anything to worry about lately so I thought up some things to worry about but now I have too many things to worry about. Old age, getting sick,, WWIII,  asteroid strike, global warming,  end of the world, etc.

    I rarely have trouble falling asleep, but the other night, I just couldn't turn my mind off.  I remembered upcoming appointments, appointments I needed to make, recalled old boyfriends and wondered if they were still alive, friends I grew up with and where they are now.  After two hours, I just got out of bed, watched some TV and finally was able to go to sleep.

    I initially fall sleep fine. Sometimes, I might wake up and, for some reason, sometimes anxious thoughts literally just appear and sometimes I ruminate.
    Sigh.
