In the summertime, we fight ants and lady bugs.
We have humans, cats and ferrets at different times.

I have Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben watching over the pantry, but if  they leave, I'm sure  the cockroaches will move into the Quaker Oats hotel.  And those weevils... I know good and well when they show up they'll manage to "convert" Betty Crocker (hallelujah, sister).   I'd have mice, but Marie Callender's still  in the freezer keeping them at bay.  There just leaves that blackish-green thing in the back of the refrigerator.  Im not sure if its a species or what.  What I do know is that I had a pack of hotdogs in the fridge last night and this morning there's only an empty package in there.

If you want to keep Aunt and Uncle watching over your pantry don't through them out. As their companies have.

Each spice is a different specie. Add those to me, a cat, a mouse, lettuce, peas, tangerines, grapes, many species of bacteria, spiders, dust mites, celery, broccoli, carrots...need I go on?

I know, right?  A guy has to keep an entire harem on retainer in order to get what he wants in life. Grrrrrrrr.

Her use of the word “species” in place of “spices” was intentionally done, it’s a play on words.
